Welcome to Tanzania! Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from Kilimanjaro alive adventure who will transfer you to your hotel in Moshi. After check-in, you can relax, explore the town, and prepare for your exciting journey ahead. In the evening, you will attend a pre-climb briefing with your guide who will provide you with important information about the climb.

After breakfast, you will be driven to the Machame Gate, the starting point of your Machame Route climb. The trail winds through beautiful rainforest, providing shaded cover as you ascend. Keep an eye out for a variety of bird species and monkeys that inhabit the area. After a few hours of hiking, you will reach your first campsite, Machame Camp, at an elevation of 3,010 meters. Here, you will have dinner and spend the night, surrounded by the dense rainforest.

The descent may be challenging, but the reward is the magnificent views of glaciers, valleys, and the iconic Barranco Wall. You will rest and spend the night at Barranco Camp, located at 3,950 meters.

From here, bask in the awe-inspiring sunrise as we continue to Uhuru Peak. Celebrate your triumph and take in the magnificent vistas before descending to Mweka Camp. After a refreshing meal and some well-deserved rest, continue your descent to Mweka Gate, where our vehicle awaits to transfer you back to the hotel in Moshi.
